I have replaced the older wreath with a newer version now available and being used, I have altered that image by adding an additional lay and adding a gradient fill. No shadow. Added second layer od text with gradient

I normally would not convert text to path, but the specific comic font is (seemingly) no longer available on Wikimedia server (either formal or wmflabs). The text is hidden by fill-opacity in case the comic font is re-installed.

New version: regions placed under Polish and Soviet administration now presented slightly differently (borders instead of colour fill), Saar colour now only slightly different to French zone (still needs some work)

My method to build knots in the Celtic or Arabic manner is explained on this picture. The knot is associated with a planar graph. On each middle edge, place a crossing. Connect this bits to one another following a maze method. Decide the upper/lower threads according to a guide. Inflate each thread to fill up its space.
